I love reading because it takes me away from my boring life of having to spend much of my time lying down with my leg on a pillow. I can escape to foreign lands, other universes all without leaving my bed. Without reading I would be a vegetable. I have been reading all my life it seems. In first grade I was reading third grade books and it just keep escalating. Its a good thing I worked in a library while I was a teen because it gave me an insight to all the new and wonderful books that were available, I also got to read the new books first. I started with romance books in the 70's with Angelique by Segeanne Golen. Now that I had to retire I can often read 3 books a day if no one bothers me. I love all genres. Straight romance, western, fantasy, historical, contemporary romance, time travel. About the only thing I won't read is horror books. Sci-fi has changed so much in the last few years that I have added that to my list too. To all you authors out there - please keep writing so all your fans can keep reading.
